Fall Flavors

Apple Cider Sangria...

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins...

Apple and pumpkin flavored anything is exactly what I want in the fall.  This apple cider sangria and these pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are the perfect fall treats! The apple cider sangria is super easy to make and it is DELICIOUS.  I saw a recipe for apple cider sangria that had cider and Pinot Grigio, but I changed it a little and it turned out great!  It takes like caramel apples.  If you love sweet drinks this is definitely a drink for you! I will for sure be making this again before fall is over.

This is my recipe:
2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider
3 1/2 cups white wine (I used Chardonnay)
1 cup Salted Caramel Vodka
4 apples cut in small pieces (I used all different apples from the apple orchard)
Combine all ingredients and put in refrigerator for at least an hour.  Serve and enjoy! Cheers!

I make pumpkin muffins all the time in the fall.  As soon as the temperatures get cooler I love pumpkin flavored anything!  These muffins are SO easy and I have been making them this way for awhile.  All you need is a can of pumpkin (see picture below) and a recipe for a spice cake.  You can use a box mix instead if you are short on time.  Combine all the dry ingredients and substitute all the wet ingredients (i.e. oil, eggs, milk, butter) for the can of pumpkin.  Mix it all together and put it in muffin tins or mini muffin tins.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes (for mini, longer for regular sized muffins). They are most delicious, moist, pumpkin muffins I have ever made.  I like to also add chocolate chips to mine because who doesn't love a little chocolate with their pumpkin?! Add a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte and you have a delicious pumpkin flavored breakfast :)
Also, I wanted to mention that if you make muffins or mini muffins frequently you have to try the Demarle Flexipans!  They are the best!  You don't need paper liners and everything comes right out with no mess.  You can find the mini muffin pan here. Once you try this pan you will not want to go back to your old pans.
Happy fall baking & drinking!

XO,
SJR
