Nursery Details

Wow, it has been quite awhile since my last post but I am so happy to be back to share the details for Zeke's nursery. If you missed it, we welcomed our son, Ezekiel James Hilbers, on August 8th, 2023. I loved designing this space and handpicking every detail. It turned out just like I dreamed it would! It is truly the sweetest space for our sweet boy. We can't wait to watch him grow in here.

I knew I wanted a neutral nursery, but I loved the idea of a safari theme. I wanted to keep it simple with lots of beige, ivory, and white. When I found this Crane Baby wallpaper I knew it was perfect for what I had in mind. I had a lot of help making my vision come to life. Zach helped with all the painting and woodwork/moulding. My dad helped me redo the closet and my parents helped with the wallpaper. It certainly was a labor of love, but I love how it turned out.

Everywhere we went we tried to pick up a few things for the nursery/baby items so we would remember all the months of preparation and excitement that we experienced in the months before his arrival.  Therefore, some pieces I couldn't link but I linked everything I could below.

I know some people say you don't need the have the nursery ready when a baby comes since they won't sleep in there for awhile, but I cannot stress how glad I was ours was already done when Zeke arrived. I loved that everything was already organized and everything had a place. It has helped me to STAY organized. I also can't imagine trying to decorate it or worrying about the details now that he is here. Our days are filled with staring at him and taking a millions pictures to remember every detail. We are so in love with our sweet boy!

Welcome home, Zeke!

I tried to break down the items below. From top to bottom there are organization items, furniture, decor, baby stuff, and clothes.

Charcuterie Boards

After creating breakfast boards for awhile, I started making a lot of charcuterie boards. I love creatively putting them together and they are ALWAYS a hit with guests. I like to start with the cheeses and place them first then other large pieces (like the salami roses). I add in the crackers/bread/pretzels next then fill in the empty spaces with the fruit, nuts, chocolate, etc. I love that you can make any sized board depending on if you have a large group, or just sharing a small snack. Linking my favorite boards and serving items below.
