(Not so) Little Black Dress

Happy Tuesday (last Tuesday of summer break - say it ain't so!). I wore this dress over the weekend to my best friend's engagement party. I absolutely love this dress and I couldn't wait to wear it. The straps are adjustable for the perfect fit and the length was perfect on me (I'm almost 5'8" for reference). I would say they fit TTS or a little small.  I usually wear an XS and the S worked well for me. I also love the slit detail and that the tulle overlay was on top of the slit so you were never showing too much skin. If I had another event to go to I would definitely be ordering this dress in other colors! It's under $75 and such a great find!  Below I included a few other similar dresses as well.
Also, these earrings (insert heart eye emoji).  I love them! They are so fun and the perfect statement earring.
On another note, I can't believe this is the last week of summer break. Next week it's back to school time- ahh!

New Favorite Dress

Happy Tuesday! I am just trying to get back in the swing of things, it's back to school for me this week.  The kids don't start until September, but have professional development all week long.  This past weekend I was in Toronto for a bachelorette party and had such a blast!  It is so nice to have opportunities for all your friends to get together and celebrate.

I wore this dress for my sister-in-law's wedding and I just LOVE it. The detailing is so pretty and it is perfect for a wedding - in any season really.  The sleeves are very lightweight making it easy to wear (even in the summer). The best part is that the dress is under $100. I paired it with all black accessories since I didn't want to take away from the floral detailing.

I wore this look to my sister-in-law's wedding rehearsal & dinner last weekend, and I just love the print of this dress. Great news for you, this dress is now on MAJOR sale! I bought it awhile ago when I was looking for something for the occasion. It comes in a bunch of different patterns (I might even need to order another one). It fits true to size, but if you are between sizes I would say to order a size up.  I ordered my regular size and it fit like a glove. 

We had a great weekend celebrating a very special wedding - more pictures to come.

Second Year as Mr. & Mrs.

Our second year of marriage went almost as fast as our first! Life just keeps getting sweeter.  This year wasn't quite as eventful as the last, but just as filled with love. I love doing life with this guy, and  this year has brought us closer than ever. Forever grateful for this husband of mine.

I did a year in review in pictures like this last year, and I thought it was a good tradition to continue! This year we celebrated weddings & engagements, did a few house projects, went on a few trips, and spent a lot of time together. Year 3 is starting off with a whole lot of house projects and I can't wait to see how everything looks when it is done (stay tuned).

Hi everyone! On another note, I CAN'T believe it is already August. Summer has flown by (per usual). In a few days Zach & I will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. Time certainly has flown by, but these past few years really have been the best yet.
