The Best Sugar Cookie Recipe

This is without a doubt the best sugar cookie recipe ever. I use it every time I make sugar cookies and they are a necessity at Christmas! I got some new cookie cutters recently that I was really excited about (too excited about-ha!) and couldn't wait to use them during the holidays. Here is the recipe I use:

1 cup margarine or butter (softened)
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tarter

Chill dough for at least 2 hours. Roll out on a floured surface and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 minutes.  Let cool & enjoy! Let me know how your Christmas baking is going! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!

PS: This apron is from Sur la table and it is my favorite.  They have the CUTEST aprons!

XO,
SJR
