The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie

As a sweets lover, I have had a LOT of chocolate chip cookies, but I must say, these are my absolute FAVORITE.  I highly recommend trying them for yourself! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients: 

3/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

1 egg

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. cornstarch (yes cornstarch)

1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Mix ingredients and then cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes.  Let cool on the cookie sheet & enjoy!

The Perfect Red Coat

It sure feels like a Monday today after having two snow days, but I'm glad it is already Wednesday! Here is another Valentine's Day look that is perfect for chilly weather.  I wore this when Zach and I went to the Cathedral for mass then met with the priest to discuss our wedding and went out to lunch in Detroit.  The Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament is such a beautiful church and I couldn't be more excited to get married there! I had to switch out my Louboutins for my favorite fur wedges for mass because it was so wet out (it was raining/snowing-yuck).  Also, I seriously LOVE this coat from Mindy Mae's Market. I love the bright red and the bow detail and it is under $100! I also love this heart sweater, it is perfect for a casual Valentine's Day look. Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Whites

I love wearing white in the winter.  It is especially perfect with a fresh batch of white powdery snow (meaning another snow day for me today).  As I have mentioned before I love this Nordstrom ruffle tank for layering. I have it in black and white and I wear it ALL the time.  And as I'm sure you noticed I wear these wedge fur booties all the time too. They are so comfortable and warm, and they add the perfect amount of height. I couldn't find the exact ones to link but I linked some similar. I'm starting off the week with my first Valentine's Day look (and enjoying a day off school-I LOVE snow days!). I can't believe it is already February.  December and January flew by! Valentine's Day will be here before you know it.  I'm especially excited for Valentine's Day this year because Zach and I are going to Chicago for the weekend, one of my favorite places to visit! This red midi skirt is perfect for Valentine's Day. My favorite kind of skirt to wear is a midi, and as I have mentioned in previous posts I love Express skirts and the way they fit.  This one is no exception. And bonus- it has pockets!
