Downtown Ice Skating

Happy Friday Eve! I'm happy to say I almost made it through my first week back after winter break!
On the last day of winter break, I finally convinced Zach to go downtown and go ice skating with me. We've gone a few times in the past few years, usually before Christmas, and it is always so much fun. I definitely don't have any ice skating skills and I'm always happy I don't wipe out. It was VERY cold that day and as we were walking to the rink from our car, I almost chickened out and said we should just go to lunch because the wind was BRUTAL.  Zach on the other hand was wearing not coat or gloves and saying it was fine - but seriously it was like 17 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like less than 5 degrees! But once we got to the rink the wind wasn't as bad, and it really wasn't that cold (once you got used to it). We didn't make it too long, but it was still fun. Visiting the warming hut for hot chocolate and warm chocolate chip cookies certainly helped too!
I love wearing neutrals in the winter. I went with an all white look for our ice skating adventure and lots of faux fur. The fur cuffs were the perfect way to dress up the (ugly) ice skates we had to rent at the rink. I love how versatile these cuffs are! I've worn them with ice skates, boots, booties (seen above also), and even on my coat sleeves! They are the perfect winter accessory (and under $50).
Thanks for stopping by!

Athleisure

Leggings (the BEST), Sweater similar here, Coat similar here, Hat(20% off with code 'sreichel20'), Fur wrap, Sunglasses, Sneakers similar here, Lips

Happy Monday! It's back to reality for me today, back to school. Luckily I was able to fall asleep early last night and it wasn't too bad waking up this morning (but I have a feeling the rest of the week won't be so easy). While I'm sad to see winter break go, I feel rested and ready to get back. Zach went back last Wednesday, and I realize it is not quite as fun having school off when I'm home alone. Don't get me wrong, I loved sleeping in and staying in my pajamas all morning, but I think having a few days home alone last week made me a little more ready to get back. I am grateful to have a job to go back to that I love. I truthfully thought I would get more done over break, but oh well. Rest and relaxation is important too. I'm excited to see my first graders and hear about their breaks.

Over break, athleisure was my go-to look.  These moto leggings are my new favorite things. I opted for the high waisted ones and I am so glad I did. They are so comfortable and the detailing makes them so adorable. I also have these high waist leggings that are a little less expensive and that I love too. With the freezing cold temperatures we have been having, this Royal Scout Co. fur wrap has been perfect! Their stuff is such great quality and so soft! This pom pom beanie comes in a bunch of different colors and it is less than $20 (AND you can get an extra 20% off with code 'sreichel20')!
Hope you all have a great Monday and a wonderful week!
Thanks for stopping by!

City Chick

Jacket, Jeans, Hat, Sneakers, Sunglasses, Bag (very similar), Scarf (20% off with code 'sreichel20'),

Happy Thursday! I wish I could slow down time and make these last few days of break last longer. I have been loving my time off (even though I did not get nearly as much done as I thought/planned). Zach went back to school yesterday, so I am off to his school today to bring lunch and visit some of his students. I rarely have days off when Zach has school, so I have to take any chance I get.
I have been wearing a ton of tan and black lately. I love the simple color combination and add a little faux fur and your instantly put together. I absolutely LOVE this scarf. Great news, you can get 20% off this scarf and a ton of other cute ones with code 'sreichel20'! It is so cozy and the color goes with literally everything. I have been wearing it a ton. Another thing I have been wearing a ton are these sneakers. I seriously have been wearing them every day. They are so comfortable and the pom pom detail makes them so fun to wear. I always get compliments everywhere I go when I wear them.
Hope you're having a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello 2017!

I always love the beginning of a new year. There is something about the feeling of a fresh start that is so exciting. Yesterday we took down every single Christmas decoration and it's so nice to start fresh (although our house sure felt bare).  I added a few new things to our living room for the new year including a floor length mirror and new pillows.  It's so fun to continue to decorate and change things up.  No better time to do it than New Years Day!
2016 was such a great year for me and my family. I became an auntie, Zach and I got married, we honeymooned in Maui, we bought our first house, and we started our married life together. As wonderful as 2016 was, I truly believe the best is yet to come, and I am so looking forward to the adventures 2017 has in store!
What I am most looking forward to this year is enjoying our first full year of marriage. I love our home and the life we are starting together, and I'm looking forward to just being in the moment this year.  In previous years I felt like there was always something I was counting down to, looking forward to.  It felt like I was counting down to the wedding for so long, I was almost wishing time away by wishing it would get here faster! This year I am really going to try to enjoy every day and every moment. I'm looking forward to so many little things this year like trips with girlfriends, trips to go see my adorable niece, and time spent at home with my husband. I am such a homebody and I have LOVED being able to have friends and family over to our house during winter break. I'm looking forward to entertaining more and continuing to decorate (and redecorate) our cozy little home.
I wanted to share a few pictures from our New Year's Eve celebration at our house and our New Year's card (we didn't have it together in time to make a Christmas card, so we went with New Years cards this year!).
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2017!
