Sharing one last Valentine's Day sweet treat for you and your sweetie. I thought I was done baking for Valentine's Day, but when your valentine requests brownies, you make them! I wanted to make them extra special, so I baked them in a normal brownie pan then cut out 4 scalloped circles (and ate all the scraps). Then I cut out a small heart shape in two of the circles. I decided to fill the sandwiches with cream cheese buttercream (my personal favorite), but you could also use vanilla buttercream or even chocolate if you want! I used the Wilton color 'Rose' to color the frosting.
They were really quite easy to make and you could definitely whip them up today in time for your V-day dinner! I made mine yesterday with really short notice. If you're looking for a different treat for today here are some more recipes!
Here is my recipe for cream cheese buttercream:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
31/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
And here is my recipe for vanilla buttercream:
3/4 cup butter
2 tbsp. heavy cream or milk (more as needed)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Happy Valentine's Day!
