I used dark chocolate Ghirardelli chocolate for the rim and for the strawberries - it is my favorite chocolate

1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Valentine's Cookies

Recipe:
1 cup butter
3/4 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
Pink food dye (I used Wilton 'Rose')
1 cup chocolate chips
Valentine's M&Ms (optional)

Bake at 350 degrees for about 7 minutes.

Heart Cutout Brownies

Bake your brownies in a regular pan and cut out the circles (I used a scalloped one) and cut out hearts on the top circles.  You can use vanilla or cream cheese buttercream for the filling and you can use food coloring to make it any color you want!

Here is my recipe for cream cheese buttercream:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
31/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

And here is my recipe for vanilla buttercream:
3/4 cup butter
2 tbsp. heavy cream or milk (more as needed)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Happy (almost) Vday!
