I used dark chocolate Ghirardelli chocolate for the rim and for the strawberries - it is my favorite chocolate

Valentine's Cookies

Recipe:
1 cup butter
3/4 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
Pink food dye (I used Wilton 'Rose')
1 cup chocolate chips
Valentine's M&Ms (optional)

Bake at 350 degrees for about 7 minutes.

Heart Cutout Brownies

Bake your brownies in a regular pan and cut out the circles (I used a scalloped one) and cut out hearts on the top circles.  You can use vanilla or cream cheese buttercream for the filling and you can use food coloring to make it any color you want!

Here is my recipe for cream cheese buttercream:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
31/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

And here is my recipe for vanilla buttercream:
3/4 cup butter
2 tbsp. heavy cream or milk (more as needed)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Happy (almost) Vday!

Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberry Milkshakes

I love trying new fun festive treats for Zach and I. These milkshakes were AMAZING and we will definitely be making them again! They are perfect for Vday!  I found these old fashioned milkshake glasses at Home Goods and I had to get them. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with a chocolate rimmed glass, and it was perfect paired with these dark chocolate covered strawberries (one of my all-time favorite treats!).

Here is the recipe:

1 small container of strawberries (cut into small pieces)
1 pint vanilla ice cream (or you can use strawberry)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
I used dark chocolate Ghirardelli chocolate for the rim and for the strawberries - it is my favorite chocolate

Enjoy! If you try the recipe let me know how you like it!

V-Day Brookies

Happy February! Today I'm sharing a perfect Valentine's Day treat, Brookies! If you've never had one before, you NEED to make these.  Brownies + Cookies = Brookies.  Mix your favorite brownie recipe and cookie recipe and bake at 350 degrees in mini muffin tins for 20-25 minutes and viola - deliciousness! I added a few Valentine M&Ms on the top while they were cooling to make them a little more festive. I also included the chocolate chip cookie recipe I use below.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe:

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips (I like to use dark chocolate)

Enjoy!
